Asus ROG-STRIX-GTX1080TI-O11G-GAMING Driver

Asus ROG-STRIX-GTX1080TI-O11G-GAMING Driver, Price, and Reviews– The Nvidia GeForce GTX 1080 Ti based on the Pascal architecture. It’s been eight months since Nvidia released its first GP102 based product, Titan X. To date, a very impressive graphics card that will resemble what we are reviewing today and very similar on many levels. This means 11 memory chips on the card working at 11 GHz (effectively-GDDR5X), the memory bandwidth is 484 GB / s. This calls for a change in the ROP count to 88 (from 96 on the TITAN X Pascal), and the TMU count to 224.

The Pascal-based unit is slightly better, the GPU die size is 471 mm square. If you look at a wider product stack, the GeForce GTX 1080 has 2,560 shader processors, the GeForce GTX 1070 has 1,920 shader processors, the GeForce GTX 1060 has 1,280 processors. The Nvidia GeForce 1080 Ti has 3,584 shader processors active inside that GP102 GPU, I say active here on purpose because it’s still not a fully enabled GPU. That is, it has 28 SM active (28 streaming multi-processor x 128 shader cores (2×64). The card will be equipped with fast GDDR5X memory too for this 11GB model. This memory is tied to a 352-bit wide bus locked at 11. GHz (GDDR5X-effective) The combination of memory type and clock frequency gives 1080 Ti an effective memory bandwidth of 484 GB / s.

ASUS is here again to offer a very quiet product with an ordinary appearance, of course. However, products powered by the great Pascal GPUs need cooling to keep them at or below the 70 Degree C mark. The STRIX branded models come with a new design cooler that has MaxContact Technology and should offer twice the contact with the GPU area for more thermal transfer. good. Not only that, the contact surface area has increased by 40% compared to the previous 1080 STRIX. It also means that ASUS has now said goodbye (for now) to the Direct Touch Heatpipe concept. The new cooling block has a mirror finish and now has a more regular base plate with a heat pipe leading through it. Going back to its roots with traditional designs one might call it even. ASUS still uses three fans for a cooler fin surface area, the new spinner is IP5X certified, making it more dustproof. Below 55 degrees C the card will remain passive and the fans will not rotate. So looking at it from every point of view, ASUS has focused on cooling and low noise levels. They’ve worked hard on the product to do things right, you’ll see a lot of customization for this board. A fully automated production line will keep your PCB looking very clean. This card will have ten power phases for GPU only and two additional for the memory subsystem. Of course, ASUS also uses high-quality components such as the best SAP capacitors, alloy chokes, and MOSFETs (DrMOS), all of which are housed under the name Super Alloy Power II. We tested this STRIX with the default clock straight out of this box would be:

  • Base clock: 1569 MHz
  • Turbo clock: 1683 MHz
  • Memory clock: 11010 Mhz (effective data rate)

In a recent pre-benchmark check, we saw that the review sample recorded a higher time:

As you can see, the review board sent is locked and loaded in OC mode for GPU and Memory clock. I’ve seen some reviews from other media using the wrong BIOS/clock. This OC setting usually you can only access and activate with ASUS GPU Tweak software (you have to run that software in the background because every time you restart this software mode it needs to re-enable the clock).

Once that’s sorted, let’s move on to reviews. STRIX will be powered by two 8-pin power connectors. Thanks to a cooler design, DVI is still around, something a reference card (FE) or a card with a blower-style cooler doesn’t have, DVI is in demand by many. If you combine the specs you’ll be a little giddy, I guess, but considering we’re going to be looking at the product from a gaming point of view, I can say this card will run amazingly in the Ultra HD domain with titles like GTA-V, Resident Evil 7, Battlefield 1 , The Division, and many other trendy game titles. We’ll also see Gears of War 4, Dishonored 2, Doom, Watch Dogs 2 and Sniper Elite 4. The ASUS ROG Strix GeForce GTX 1080 Ti cooler is powered by a series of programmable LEDs, shining through the cover. On the back you’ll see a nice matte black solid back plate with ventilation mesh. Let’s get started with this review, but not before you’ve had a chance to actually see the cards, of course.
